When I've traveled in the past to Europe, I've tried to put all my reservations on my IPhone's calendar (plane, train, reserved tickets for certain sights, etc.). Is there some way to enter them so they'll automatically adjust when I switch time zones? That is, if I put in my plane ticket that leaves from TX and lands in Rome either it looks wrong now or it will look wrong when I get there. Same thing for train tickets. I can enter the time as I want to see it for planning purposes here in the US, but when I get to Europe, the time zones will be all wrong and I'll have to change all of them, or I can put in the correct European time zones now and I'm all confused when I look at my calendar here in the US. Any ideas?

Calendars including the iPhone's allow you when setting a start-end time to specify the time zone. With the iPhone you need to pick a major city like Cupertino or Oakland for Pacific or Honolulu for Hawaiian time zones. (I should note that the above worked with an IPhone 6S.)

I just input the time using my local time zone (e.g. If i have a dinner in Rome at 6pm, i just input 6 pm pacific time). When i get to Italy, i leave my device in the Pacific time zone but just manually change the time to the local time. Dinner is still set for 6 pm.
I do the same thing with my flights. I just input the depart time and arrival time as if i fly and land in the same time zone e.g. Depart at 6am, Arrive at 1:45 pm. I will put in the duration of flight in the description and just change the clock to match local time without changing the time zone.
