This looks very promising.....

This product was introduced recently at the CES in Las Vegas, and it appears that it may be an improvement over similar products such as Google Translate - https://www.timekettle.co/products/fluentalk-t1-handheld-translator-device . I haven't used the device yet, but may try it if I get the opportunity.

These products will undoubtedly continue to improve and perhaps one day in the near future, they will be able to understand more of the complexities and dialects of different languages. I imagine that AI will increasingly be used in translators.

Wow, $300 for something Google translate does for free?
How is this better than google or apple translate?

DeepL is the better solution imo - also much better quality than oh-oh Translate.

I prefer using Google Translate for now, but I also occasionally rely on ChatGPT for translations.

I've been using "Translate" by Microsoft (Android). Free, great user interface, very easy to take a quick photo of something and see the translate right away. Or speak into it and get the other language spoken back. I don't think it needs internet as I've downloaded a few languages. Only negative is that the German translation is not so good. Seems the different word order confuses it, I think. We've come a long way from when I had 4 dictionaries on my phone.

And I agree with you about AI... Good thing for this kind of application.
