I just got an email from T-Mobile that their per minute international call price on Simple Choice plans is increasing from 20¢ per minute to 25¢ per minute. They are also adding a bunch of countries to the plan. This will start on July 22.
Personally, I try to use Skype whenever I can because it is about one tenth the cost of T- Mobile.
Thanks for the heads up - I didn't get any notice from T-Mobile yet, so I wonder if my plan's prices are changing (I have their Unlimited 55 Plus plan, so it may be different).
I also did not get notice of this yet. I'll check my plan. I mostly call on WiFi when I'm traveling so don't incur a ton of charges, but on my last trip I had weak WiFI in Sicily and did make some regular calls.
I also have the 55Plus plan. Didn't get any notice. I also have used Skype. Maybe not as convenient all the time, but ridiculously cheap.
I use Skype for local calls to non-US phone numbers, because I have an old credit I'm still draining down, a few cents at a time.
But Google Hangouts is free for calls to US numbers, FYI, if you missed it the last 800 times I mentioned it...
