My phone is not eSIM compatible so I'm thinking maybe purchasing a different SIM card for my trip. I will be in Italy and Sweden. Does anyone have guidance on what to buy and where to buy it?
TIM mobile (an Italian telecom company) often comes up in the forums like in this recent thread.. the EU has regulations the allows free roaming within the EU. But you should confirm with the provider you choose. Italy requires registration so bring your passport to the shop.

If you are going to Italy first, I would recommend the TIM Tourist SIM.. It will work in Sweden as well as Italy. I would suggest paying for it online and redeeming the voucher at any TIM store in Italy. That way the clerk in the store knows exactly what you need. If you land at FCO, there is a TIM store before you exit the terminal. Cost is €25.
