Recommendation for portable battery for IPhone5

During my last trip my IPhone would go dead during the day's tour. Any recommendations for a small portable battery I can carry with me to recharge my IPhone on the next trip?

I had the same problem so I ordered a mophie juice pack powerstation duo external battery from apple. It worked great. Powered my phone quickly several times on one charge. Also powered my ipad but not quickly or fully.

I have been very happy with the Anker Astro 3000mAh external chargers, available on Amazon They are about the size of a tube of lipstick, and they will take an iPhone from empty to a full charge. I took two on my last trip to Italy, although I never needed more than one a day.

I also like the NewTrent batteries. The New Trents have more power than the Anker chargers , but they tend to be larger and heavier.

With both the Ankers and the NewTrents, you attach the battery via your regular iPhone cable. It may be a bit of a pain to remember the bring the cable along, but the advantage is that the battery doesn't become obsolete when you get a new iPhone.

I recently purchased an iPhone case that has an extra battery built into it. It is slightly longer than my regular case. You charge the case with your phone charger. I just used it while traveling for a few days and it worked great. After my phone battery died I pushed the button on the case to activate (probably not the right word but I'm a low tech person!) the case battery. It took my battery back to 100%. I bought the case from the AAA website. I was able to get 2 for less than $30. I gave a relative the second one.

Mophie.

Steep price, integral, shock absorber as well. Our phones live in one, always.

The for the recommendations. Correction on title: iPhone 4 is what I own, not a 5. Happy Trails, thx for the reminder to turn off apps I am not using.
