Power sources for cell phones are actually voltage converters that take any voltage from 100VAC to 240VAC and output 5VDC. They are almost always "double insulated" devices (square inside square symbol on nameplate), so they do not need grounded or polarized power (they have two equal width blades). They draw less than 2½ amps so they can use a Europlug 2-pin adapter.

You only need a PLUG adapter, two round pins for Europe not any power adapter.. Apple phones are already dual voltage so no power converter is needed.. We use ours woldwide( Europe,Africa, SE Asia, Asia, etc) and only take plug adapters with us.
You can buy plug adapters through Rick Steves, or any luggage or outdoor store.

Also, we get Verizons Global plan when we travel abroad. Texting is very inexpensive.

You might want to get a 4USB port travel adapter . If you're taking three or four phones, leave the chargers at home and just bring the charging cords. Electrical outlets are notoriously lacking in many hotel rooms. If your phones are unlocked, consider buying SIM cards in Europe. For more info on using your electronics overseas, check the "Phones and Tech" section under Travel Tips on this site.
