Hi all,
I will be visiting Florence soon and was planning to carry around a power bank for charging our devices. I was wondering if these are allowed in the museums or if anyone has ever been stopped at a museum checkpoint because of these. Thanks.

I always have one in my handbag. Never been a problem at any museum or other security.
If it is in a big bag, then big bag is the problem.
dj,
I can't see why it would be a problem, especially if it's in a pocket and no one is aware that you have it. Any museum that permits smartphones will surely allow a power bank.
We just got back from Paris, Belgium and Amsterdam last week. I had my power bank with me at every museum and attraction. Either in my pocket or small backpack. Never had a problem through security. Only time they made me check my bag was the Van Gough Museum. Good luck!
I always wear it with me
