Next week I am going to fly to London and I love listening to podcasts during my journeys. I checked out some podcast apps for my Galaxy S6 but none satisifed my needs so far. I'd like to have a simple UI and I want to be notified when new episodes are available. Free apps prefered of course ;) Do you have any experiences with apps that help you to keep track of podcasts?

You could try Pocket Casts - great app in my opinion. It looks really beautiful but offers great features as well. You can sync with the cloud, it offers video and Chromecast support. Podcast discovery is also very simple and intuitive.

I recently stumbled across Audials. It is actually an app to play and record web radio but it also offers a handy podcast function. In my opinion, it can replace standalone podcast apps since it's handy to discover new episodes. Better try both and decide for yourself ;)
