Thanks for posting that. The article makes some good points and it's nice to see information on the reasons behind the rules. Unfortunately there always seems to be one or two passengers that think the rules don't apply to them, and they continue using their phones even when told to put them in Airplane Mode.

I thought the bit about overloading cellphone towers down below was funny.
I'm old enough that I purposely used to bring a radio onboard and listen to local stations as we passed over, they would come and go. Come to think of it, it was built into one of those thingys, what are they called? Oh yeah, a Walkman.
