Noise canceling headphones

My husband I I both wear and like the Bose Quiet Comfort 35. They fold up, but not terribly small as they have large “ear muffs” and a solid band over the top of the head. The case is 5 1/2” x 8” x 2”. See if you can try out the headphones. I tried another brand and found them uncomfortable; returned them for the Bose.

Another yes for the Bose. Worked well as both noise cancellers and earphones.

I have the Bose Quiet Comfort 45 which fold and lay flat in a soft sided case. My husband has the Bose 700 which also fold but have a somewhat hard (but not rigid) case. The 700 is more expensive and has more bells and whistles for phone calls. Both perform great for noise cancelling and the audio quality is excellent. Only thing to note is if you wear glasses the earpieces may push the headphones slightly away from your head. But that will be true of all headphones.

Another Bose over the ear headphone user. They work well and worth taking. They are bulky though.

There are a few highly rated noise cancelling over the ear headphones but all the Bose Quiet Comfort 20 and above have excellent noise cancelling - good for the plane. For me I like hearing what is going on around me, but for the plane yes.

I have the Bose QC 35s and Apple Airpod pros that have noise cancelling. I travel with both and prefer the AirPods b/c they are very effective and so much smaller and easier to deal with on the plane. The downside is they won't last through a transatlantic flight. But in general they are my go to now when traveling, the Bose are the backups when its a longer flight.

I also have the aforementioned Bose 700s. Two features I especially like: the battery lasts 18 hours on a full charge, and you can adjust the level of noise cancellation.
