I am in Paris and have lost the cord to charge my New Kindle Fire. Any suggestions for where I can buy a USB cord for this device in Paris? Thanks.
Most any micro usb chargers will work on a Kindle. I usually plug mine into whatever one is handy - cell phone chargers work well. So any cell phone shop or fnac - there is one at most train stations plus at Forum des Halles. Not sure where in Paris you are so can't be very specific.. Just tell them it is for Kindle - or just show them the Kindle.
Stores called DARTY or FNAC will be the easiest, or BHV or probably any Monoprix.
And oddly, there are electronics stores called Boulanger (for example on Boulevard de la Madeleine).
Let us know what neighborhood you're staying in, and we can advise in a more detailed fashion.
Thanks for the suggestions. We are in St. Germain area, near Rennes Metro stop.
There is a fnac on Rue de Rennes & Rue Blaise-Desgoffe. It is on the corner on Rue Blaise-Desgoffe in the Silver & glass building. Walk up Rue de Rennes past the H&M
I found the cord locally at FNAC. Wow -what a cool store. Thank you for your amazing help!
Glad you got it - happy to help.
