Excel spreadsheets or equivalents work best for me... with AM, PM and Evening blocks for each day. 15 Days = 45 blocks. One block for an activity or a travel segment, thus 3 blocks a day. Columns for travel, hotels, activities, meal planning. You may or may not want to include costs for each for budgeting purposes. After reviewing several trips I discovered that my cost breakdowns worked out to be 30% Travel expenses, 30% Hotel expenses, 15% Meals, 15% Activities/Tours/Etc, 10% everything else. Adjust food and wine costs depending on tastes as necessary.

I can't vouch for any of these, but you can buy one on Etsy:

https://www.etsy.com/market/simple_travel_itinerary_excel_template

I also found this, which seems to be free:

https://clickup.com/blog/itinerary-excel-templates/

Also maybe check this:

https://thattravelitch.com/en/travelling/excel-travel-itinerary-template

And if none of these work for you, you can do what I did: Google "itinerary template for excel." (I assume the same templates that work for Excel would also work with Google sheets, but if not, you can modify the Google search.)

I don't have very good spreadsheet skills, hahaha...but years ago on here someone gave a simple way to set up a table in Googledocs and I have used that ever since.

In Googledocs:

Select a blank document
Go to Insert
Go down to Table
Go to the side and I choose 4 across and then scroll down for 20 rows to be added. IF you find you need more rows, you can click to the left of one of the first cells and choose "add 1 row below."

Across the top I have DATE ACTIVITY TRANSPORTATION HOTEL

That works for my needs. The first thing I do is fill in the dates AND days of the week (since some museums are closed certain days and I lose track of what day it is when traveling!), then add my airline itinerary and confirmation ##s along with hotels and Res ##s. At the end of the table in the blank space I add Notes gleaned from research for activities, walking routes, restaurants.

I use Googledocs a lot. I have my ongoing "to-do" lists in there for Paris and London so in those cities if I am suddenly at a loss of what to do I can go to the list and figure something out easily.

I hope you find something easy that works for you and your travel style!

It looks like Mike has given you a compatible option. I use Excel, and these are the column categories that have been helpful for me, in case you want to add additional info into your template:

City
Date
Cost
Hotel (also mark bkft included in green)
Type of Room
Pd (if paid already, highlight in green)
Cancel Date (if non-refundable, highlight cell in red)
Week Day (important to not plan on trains/buses in some countries on Sundays). I highlight “Sun” cells in yellow.
Morning activity
Afternoon
Evening Restaurant/Activity

Train tickets & Reserved/purchased activities in cells are highlighted in green.
An important item to reserve at a later date is highlighted in yellow.
Anything in a cell left “white” are just possible ideas.
