IPad screen cracked in Italy. Advice?

Google Ifixit in Italy. They have a presence there. Apple may also have repair capability in Italy.

Thank you. I will look into it to see how much its costs and how long it will take. It will be good to have that information but I don’t know if I want to repair it. Given that the iPad is 6 years old and nearing the storage limit, if this happened in the US, i would buy a new one and sell the broken one. but if the cost is low enough and I can get it done quickly, that could work.

Ipads are the same in Europe and the U.S. unfortunately they just cost more in Europe. But you can get what you need.

I would put clear cellophane tape over the crack to prevent dirt infiltration until a permanent repair or replacement happens.

It. And option 1 is out as I’m not keen on paying more for a new IPad than I would in the US. So will look around tomorrow for repair options and if i can’t find one will ask my friend to bring me a new iPad.

I wouldn't count on getting much, if anything, for am almost 6 year old iPad with a cracked screen.

If you go to amazon.it you will see that they sell refurbished iPads at reasonable prices - you should be able to arrange delivery at an Amazon locker or equivalent close to you, if not directly to your lodging.

Why not just visit the Apple Store tomorrow and see what they suggest.

Maybe they can patch it up for you so that you can use it until you return home to the USA and then buy. a brand new one when home.

if you are talking about today, Saturday, that's the day to visit the Apple Store. Many screen replacements can be done while you wait. If you're talking about Sunday the store will be open too.
