We returned yesterday after putting cosmote SIM cards in both our phones in Greece for 15 days. The phone worked perfectly with iMessage and what’s app and everything data wise the whole trip. We put our Verizon sims back in and texting wasn’t working when we landed. Safari and weather and maps all work. We can make phone calls. Yes the iMessage selection is on. Turn on turn off and waited over 24 hours for it to start using our iMessage, not working. And today regular texts are not going through. Any ideas on what we are missing? Anyone have this happen.

Thanks for the info, we will try them.
Also, call your phone service provider. I have found it takes a while to get to a human but they're very helpful and switching SIMs is probably already an item on their menu of common issues.
The above haven’t worked , onto Verizon next.
I don’t know what was finally done but each phone had a different issue fixed today. Mine started with the network setting reset but did need some additional help. The SIM card we used in Greece had a setting that was under the FaceTime setting that was blocking it from new(original) SIM card. Thanks for the ideas that lead us.
Glad things worked out. Thanks for updating with how things were resolved. I just returned yesterday from Europe. Was a little concerned after using both a SIM card and an eSim in my phone. Thankfully there were no issues upon putting the original sim back into place.
