I had a lovely trip to Italy last month and bought a simcard for my cellphone the day I arrived.
It was E35 from TIM, and I was very happy with the coverage everywhere we went.
No "black" spots...I always had data out and about.
It gives you a massive number of minutes to call Canada, India and other countries, but not to the UK.
I can't remember if the US was on the list, as I wasn't planning to call there.
No texts.
Unlimited texting and calls in Italy itself.
I used it mainly for WhatsApp, and for real-time maps, train and bus schedules and looking up details of places we were visiting on the spot while out and about.
The amount of data/gb's was huge, way more than anyone would ever need for a short trip.
Well worth the price.
I believe it was for 30 days, with an option to top up after that for E8.99 per month.
I didn't keep the paperwork , so can't be certain of the details.
It was markedly more efficient than the VodaFone one my friend got when we were in Italy in 2019.
