Hi,
I'm a digital nomad working full-time remotely while traveling, and one of my biggest challenges has been finding affordable, high-data internet options. Sure, international providers like Airalo, Holafly, or Mobimatter are convenient, but in many cases, I realized they charge 2–3x more compared to local providers that offer eSIMs directly.
At first, I just kept a personal list of local eSIM providers I used whenever I landed somewhere new. That list slowly grew, and I realized it could be helpful to others too, so I turned it into a simple website. What started as my notes has now it's turning into a community resource where travelers can search local eSIMs by country, see instructions on how to buy them online, and even suggest or review other local eSIM providers.
It’s still a work in progress, but already covers quite a few places. Thought I’d share it here in case it saves someone else the same hassle. Would love feedback if you try it. For anyone curious, https://findlocalesim.com
Every provider on my website findlocalesim.com, is local provider, nobody gets an income, neither I do, no ads, nothing. You buy the eSIM directly from the source, without intermediaries and without third-party apps. I just wanted to make this a resource for travelers, if can help someone. It's just a community-based platform where local eSIMs are published, reviewed by community, by other travelers and then everyone that comes and check, they can decide if they want to buy directly from the local provider, or choose international providers for convenience. I choose local eSIM all the time I can, and I can tell for sure that in majority of cases, it's very simple to buy and set. Use case for Europe check Orange Flex for Poland (best local eSIM when travelling to Europe) or Elisa(for baltic + nordic countries), way better and way more convienient than international providers like airalo, holafly, mobimatter and so on....
I just wanted to release this website to give access to travelers to the local eSIM options available, without wasting time searching.
Thanks a lot, your feedback would be huge help for me to keep this up to date and helpful for us as travelers and digital nomads.
