how to enter mobile phone number

Trying to buy a railcard from Britrail. It asks for my UK phone number. I will have my mobile phone, but I have tried to enter the phone number several ways and it does not accept it.

As far as I’m aware Britrail sells rail passes (not rail cards) to non UK residents – which would make sense that it would not accept UK phone numbers.

Or do you mean you are buying a railcard from National Rail, which is asking for a UK number. If you have a UK mobile number and it’s in the format 07XXX 123456 I can’t understand why it would be accepted. Or are you trying to enter a US number?

OK, I'm guessing you mean the Two Together card. It must only accept UK phone numbers. There's no need to buy it online.

It's best if you buy it at the station before you travel. If you want to buy tickets online at the Two Together rate you can still do that. When buying indicate you have the card but make sure you buy it at the station.

This is a link to the pdf version of the application form. Complete it at your leisure then hand it in at the station to buy your card.

I have a similar problem. I'll be in the UK for ten days, so have an AT&T international pass. I'm trying to set up a Great Western Railways account + GWR app on my iPhone. I'm not trying to buy a pass not available to non-UK residents, just ordinary tickets avail. to anyone. I can't GWR to accept to accept my US-based mobile number in any form I've tried. Is this just impossible? Or is there a formula?
