Hotels in Berlin, Germany

Hello, I’ll be staying in Berlin for a couple of nights and I don’t have a Rick Steve’s book for the location. Can anyone recommend a local hotel for the area? I typically stay in Ricks two star locations. Thanks

Berlin's sights are many and hugely spread out, and we don't know what your sightseeing priorities are. It will be critical for you to stay in a convenient location with good public-transit links.

When is your trip?

Pension Peter is a great place. We stayed there 7 years ago. We used the buses to move around the city. The people from the pension were very helpful telling us what buses to take to see the different sights.

Second Pension Peters. And lots of local restaurants nearby as well. Even an all-night cafe.

A third for Pension Peters. I really enjoyed my stay and the location is good for getting around. In addition to the buses mentioned by a previous poster it's a couple of blocks from Savignyplatz station (S bahn) and a 7-10 minute walk to the Zoologischer Garten station (S & U bahn), with easy trip to the main train station. A nice neighborhood with cafes and restaurants and comfortable to walk around in the evening. It's very nice and clean and the staff at the Pension are very helpful.
