My husband needed an interview for his renewal (I luckily sailed through and was approved without one). Well known how hard it is to snag an in person appointment, but he was offered a virtual interview by Zoom. Readily available when he booked. It was today. Fast and very easy. Just about two minutes of face time with the inspector, show your passport, answer a question or two. Approved! Highly recommend this route for renewals needing an interview.
