GGFone?

I swear I was just reading a thread about calling from cell to landline; now I can’t find it.

So my question is: has anyone used GGFone app? I need something simple and cheap to use to call home (landline) and for my non-computer/landline hubby to call me when I’m in Italy in May. I will be using Verizon’s international plan but don’t want to run up a huge bill if it’s not necessary.
My non-technical sister-in-law will have the same problem.
FYI, I gave up trying to get Google Hangouts to work.

Never heard of it. Too bad you gave up on Hangouts - I was certainly willing to coach you through it as I have others, including some very not-tech-savvy people...
