Forum Information, bookmarks, etc.

I'm curious how people organize bookmarked posts for use. I often will bookmark for future use. Even though I'm currently planning for England, I just read a couple interesting posts for New Zealand and Vienna, and bookmarked them. When it comes to planning for those places (I've already been to both, and repeat visits are probably more long term) It would be great to somehow search my bookmarks for material on New Zealand or. . . Instead of having to go thru pages and pages of my bookmarks, same with trying to find posts in "My History".

Is there a way to do this, that I do not know about?

I don't think there is a way to do this within the forum.

I organize my bookmarks outside the forum with existing tools meant for the job.

Most browsers have a bookmark organization scheme. Google allows you to create hierarchies of folders for bookmarks.

ETA: on my Android phone, using Google Chrome, tap the 3 dots (upper right) and select "Bookmarks."

I store many of them in OneNote, in my notes for future trip sketches.

I also bookmark outside this website.

I use Google Chrome and set up categories for Travel, then year ('25, '26, future), then country. I include info from other sites, also.

As I get closer to specific research for a trip, I may subdivide further or move bookmarks around.

I can access this on iPhone, iPad or home computer.
I can also easily search bookmarks if I have too much saved and can't easily find what I am looking for.

I use bookmarks on my browser of choice. I have a travel folder in my browser. Within that travel folder, I have separate folders for each country or city. Everything is bookmarked/saved in the relevant folder, whether it’s a post from the RS forum, a museum website for buying tickets, restaurants, etc.

One thing to remember when bookmarking either within the forum or on your browser...if by some chance the poster of the information you are saving either deletes their account or is banned by the webmaster ALL their posts are scrubbed.

So...in addition to bookmarking the threads into my browser folders I either copy the important information or drill down to websites and copy the URLs into my itineraries. I start an itinerary as soon as I know I am going somewhere so I have itineraries in GoogleDocs out to 2027, hahaha!

I hadn't even thought of organizing my bookmarks and I'm usually very organized. Thank you so much for this information, everyone and I'm BOOKMARKING this for future use and will try out the suggestions.
