Customizable travel Itinerary app with multiple related alerts (non-flight)

Hi all,

Does anyone know of an Android app (or website) that allows you to:

  1. Create a customizable itinerary up to several weeks
  2. Create multiple alerts throughout the day

I see that TripIt Pro has alerts for flights, but what I'm looking for is the ability to set reminders (alerts) for activities through a given day. Basically, something to keep us on schedule, especially in between sightseeing/attractions :)

For example:

Day 1 - Amsterdam

  • 8:00am - Reminder to start walking to breakfast cafe'

8:30am - 9:30am - Breakfast (no reminder here, just an itinerary
item)

9:30am - Reminder to finish breakfast and start walking to the canal
ride start point

10am - 12pm Canal ride.

etc...

Where the reminders are either audible or vibrating (preferable) alert on a phone?

I have been a TripiT pro users for many years. What Tripit allows you to do is create a calendar that can be linked to your mobile calendar where you can set notifications. I am Apple Phone users so I can't speak to how the app works on Android but I don't think it would be that different.

Ah, ok. That's interesting. Something I'll look into as that sounds like it would fit what we're looking for. Thanks for the reply and information!

I also do what Mark does with Tripit Pro but I am an Android user.

You can set up Tripit Pro to automatically post items listed in it on your calendar. You can then go in and customize both times and notifications.

The nice thing about Tripit Pro is you can forward the email you receive from your airline, hotel, attraction to TripitPro and it will automatically set up a listing in itself. Very rarely do I have to manually enter anything.

I put anything task, event, or activity oriented in my Gmail calendar and set the alert as desired for at the time of event, 15 minutes in advance, a few hours in advance, etc. Very much like I ran my life in business for decades. In the end I have not only notification of when to get going, but where I have been and what I have done that day.

I agree with Laurel. Google Calendar does everything the OP is asking for. An added benefit is that it's easily accessible from any device you have.
