Comfortable ear buds

I have an iPhone 15 and an early version of their ear buds. They work fine but I find them uncomfortable. Is that just me or are there other ear buds that would be more comfortable?

I would not use them that much (mostly on a plane) so not interested in high end for sound quality. I just want something more comfortable . About 20 minutes is all I can take right now. Any suggestions?

I just bought these to replace a similar set I have misplaced. I put on the smaller tip (which feels much better to me). The over the ear hook holds them in place.

Bose makes a very good over the ear set of buds that is compatible with iPhone equipment.

I'm an android user, so no ideas for Apple based products, but, to me, ALL earbuds are uncomfortable.
I would look into versions as shown above that loop over the ear. The speaker floats over your ear canal instead of fitting inside.

AirPods are excruciating for me and my dainty, extra small earholes/canals. I’ve found two relatively well-priced models that work great with my iPhone 16 Pro. For wireless Bluetooth earbuds I use Back Bay Audio Temple 30; specifically for small ears. They come with a good selection of very small tips and have good charging and battery life. Although they fit comfortably (I can sleep in them and often inadvertently walk out of the house wearing them), they don’t have the secure wrap-around ear feature. To be extra secure, when flying I use as very comfortable Sony MDR-15AP wired earbud headphones with an iPhone dongle adapter. They are also compatible with seat back entertainment systems. Let me know if you have any questions.

I've been using the Apple Pro2 Earbuds and find them quite comfortable. Apparently the newer Pro3 models are even more comfortable as they have foam inside. AFAIK all the Apple earbuds are provided with several sets of rubber tips andI found that the tips that were on them initially work quite well for me. The noise cancelling is really good!

I too have the Apple Pro2 Earbuds, and the noise cancelling is excellent, EXCEPT for flight announcements and similar sudden noises. I carry silicon ear plugs for boarding & unfortunately still need Bose headset on planes.

And if you're looking for something cheaper that are very comfy, consider a wired Cozy headset, inside a headband, yes I probably look dorky, but I'm asleep at that point. https://www.amazon.com/CozyPhones-Headphones-Speakers-Meditation-Relaxation

These are not noise cancelling, IME they last about a year, and should work with Android as well as Apple products, you will need a USBC 'dongle' for iPad to connect them, or a flash dongle to connect to iPhone. You can buy the wire replacement without the headband. BTW, I did NOT like the wireless ones, needed to be recharged daily, kept hitting the wrong buttons....

I find most earbuds very uncomfortable.

I have a pair of apple style knockoffs that aren't bad but don't offer noise cancellation. To me, noise cancellation on planes, trains, etc is most importatnt.

For that, I've been using Bose earbuds for years. I found them fairly comfortable and excellent noise cancellation. But they changed the tips in the last generation of earbuds and now the buds seem to fall out very easily. At least in my ears.

So, I'm going back to over the ear headphones. Yes, they are bulkier but they are much more comfortable for long trips.

BTW, if it matters, RS uses over the ear, noise canceling headphones. He's even said he'd rather sit in a middle seat in economy with his headphones than in business class without them.

I don't do earbuds. Too uncomfortable. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen). Worth the money and the extra space in my backpack.

Another reason I prefer to use Ear Buds is that they're quite discreet when using Rick's Audio Tours inside museums or galleries. That way I can keep the phone out-of-sight.

I'm finding the JBL Tune to be pretty comfortable. Great battery life, too. As they're standard Bluetooth, they're compatible with Apple, Android, Windows, everything.
