Not sure how long the app is free, but just wanted to mention if anyone was interested - normally 2.99, free for today. I've used the app on my iPad and it's great - can be used offline, put pins in places you want to see, etc... City maps 2Go (also maybe for android? Not sure....)

The text I just received says it is only free today...
The new Trip Advisor app now includes free off-line "city-packs" which contain a complete Google city map for most cities around the globe....free of charge. These maps are more detailed than the ones you can get off-line via Google's own app, with the same bell sand whistles that City Maps to Go has. Looks like I will soon be deleting my City Map add, the TA app is a game changer.
I used TA off line App for my Spring travel. I love how you can map it all out and don't need to be on line to access whatever you've downloaded. Using it for
all my travel now!
