Calls to My Cell Phone with Spanish purchased SIM card

If someone in the US is calling me I know they need to dial 011 and the country code for Spain. However, if I am in France do they need to dial 011 plus the country code for Spain or France?

The country code associated with your phone number does not change when you cross borders. When you leave Spain and enter France (or any other country) you will be "roaming."

The easiest way for them to program their phone is to prefix your Spanish country code (34) and number with a plus sign (usually near the zero on most modern mobile telephones). Otherwise they can put the French international outbound code (00) and the Spanish country code (34) and your number.

Different countries use different outbound international codes - 011 in the US, 00 in the UK and Europe, etc.) - which is why it is why leaving it to the phone and using the plus sign and not worrying....

If you are giving your number to a French person, just use the +. They will understand.

The number and country associated to the SIM card doesn't change.
