Has anyone ever bought a SIM on a layover in Paris?
I'm wondering if there are places to buy while in transit so I don't have to go though security all over again.

Relay stores sell them at CDG. They are located both airside and landside so you should be able to avoid going through security..

Most people say the prices at CDG are higher than elsewhere, if you'll be going into the city at all

Yes. From Orange. Worked perfectly, because the nice person I bought it from - an Orange employee - set up the phone for me before I left the airport. Watch for the Orange kiosks. They MAY not be the absolute cheapest, but they work.
