Adapting Whisper Devices to Hearing Aids

I have a pair of Rexton Hearing Aids (BiCore) that apparently won't work directly with an Airfly connector in the Whisper devices. Has anyone else ever solved that problem? I love being able to hear my iPhone directly into my hearing aids. I know I could get a telecoil to plug into the listening devices, but I was hoping to not need one more gadget when I go to Europe. Any suggestions or solutions you've found? My suggestion is that Rick move all those hearing devices over to bluetooth, but people have been asking for that for years to not avail.

Don’t we wish. I have Oticon which won’t synch either. On our tour last month I just did the usual, take out the one hearing aid and use an ear piece that connects by wire to the Whisper. I would advise people taking the RS Tours to bring your own earpiece because the ones they give you are quite cheap and most people seem to complain about them hurting their ear after wearing several hours each day.

I believe you’re out of luck and it all boils down to the type of Bluetooth signal. I have Oticon hearing aids and they will not connect to Airfly either. It seems that Airfly works on a standard Bluetooth signal while our hearing aids work on another. So it appears that the workaround is AirPods.

I just finished the RS 13 day Scotland tour and one of my tour mates had a Bluetooth adapter plugged into his whisper that allowed him to connect his air pods. There were several members who wore hearing aids and our guide gave them a different ear phone to use. These clipped around their ears.

I'm one of the lucky hearing aid wearers whose Phonak hearing aids can be paired with the AirFly device. We just finished the Basque Country tour last month and it was so nice to be able to plug the AirFly into the tour provided Whisper device and listen cord-free.

I tried that Stacie, my only concern was that it would also flip my hearing aid off at the same time I took it off my ear, not ideal. Bluetooth, please!
