2FA Solution in EU, US carrier is Verizon

Hello
Forgive me if this has been covered in a previous post.
I am traveling to Europe at end of month and plan on using Orange Holiday Europe.
I am self-employed and have one business partner that uses my mobile number for 2FA website login.
The partner does not offer email for 2FA website login.
I do not want to buy an international plan from Verizon nor do I want to incur high international usage fees from Verizon.
Any ideas / suggestions as to a work-around for my 2FA dilemma?
Thanks in advance!

Do you have any means of switching your mobile # to an international number (your Orange Holiday #) with the partner?

How often do you need to log in with 2FA to the partner site? I’m assuming that you get a text to your mobile when you log in.

Are you getting the sim or esim version? If esim, I thought you could switch over to your home phone number fairly easily.

Hi Laura - no my business partner is not able to change my mobile number to an international number. I do not log in frequently - maybe 2-3 times per week. Yes I get a text to mobile when I log in.
Hi MariaF - I am getting the eSim version. And while I can switch over to home phone number fairly easily Verizon Wireless would be very happy to charge me international rates for the privilege of doing so. I find it hard to justify paying these fees for a 6 digit verification code.
Thank you!

I don't believe Verizon charges one for texts received while in Europe. I am on a Verizon reseller (Spectrum) and no charges accrue texts through that service. Phone usage on Verizon is also pretty inexpensive in Europe, ranging from 1 to 7 cents per minute, regardless of whether the call is to a US or European number. So long as you don't use the Verizon network for data, there are no daily charges accrued for phone or text usage. I believe the daily charges relate to data use only. EDIT: It looks like I'm maybe mistaken about this; although Spectrum charges me nothing for texts and minimal cost per minute for calls, it looks like Verizon charges higher rates for (outgoing) calls and a nonzero amount for incoming texts. But incoming texts still look to be pretty cheap on a pay-as-you-go plan.

I always get a data-only eSIM when I travel abroad, and place DND to "on" for my Verizon SIM with exceptions allowed for critically important potential callers. One can also place outgoing calls on Google Voice if necessary using the data connection for about 1 cent per minute.

I hope this is useful information for you. I have to admit I'm a bit confused on the whole 2FA business, but I assume you're getting validation notices with a code number via text, which seems to be congruent with my comments.
