Valencia Ring Walk/Stroll

In looking at a map of central Valencia, I had a thought.

Has anybody walked around the old town, via Carrer de Colon, Calle de Castro, Calle de la Blanqueria, and Calle del Pintor Lopez?

Would this be a cool thing to do, and would it take perhaps three hours?

It's an interesting idea. When I look at Google Maps street views, it looks like a lot of busy street scenery, so it depends on what you are after.

As another idea, you could go into Jardin del Turia and walk the paths that run along Calle de Castro and Calle de Pintor Lopez, which are quite lovely. There is also a dedicated cycle path for 8 or 9 kilometers, through the center of the park.

If you want to see more city sights, I would be inclined to criss-cross and weave a bit through the center. Perhaps one route from Torres de Serranos to Estacion del Norte - about 1.5km - picking and choosing your route through sights of interest. Another criss-cross route might be from Torres de Quart across to Porta de la Mar - roughly 1.7 km. Or further, to the Museum of Sciences.

If you are interested in seeing some neighborhoods, I might walk a couple of streets in from the main ring road thoroughfares. As an example, I walked back from the Museum of Sciences along a road that parallels the park, but in a few streets, and found that a quite interesting route through residential neighborhoods filled with shops and restaurants.

Gracias, @cwsocial. We have seven clear nights in Valencia. Your suggestions are very valid and likely we will do them.

We are not people who need to vacuum up places of interest every day; we enjoy "aimless" wandering and discovering daily life, pausing frequently for coffee and pastry to fortify us.

It seemed to me that walking the "ring" I saw on the map would give me bragging rights to say "we walked around Valencia!" :>

Oh then you might love a walk out to or back from the Museum of Sciences into town and through the Ruzafa neighborhood. As a point of reference, my route took me to Little Thai Ruzafa, where I stopped for lunch. The gal who worked the desk at my hotel lives in that neighborhood and recommended having a wander. There are no end of cafes and small eateries.

I'm not normally a beach person, but the promenade along the Valencia beaches is quite the place for a walk, with plenty of restaurants and bars with fabulous people watching and beach views. You could stroll for hours.
