There is only one online option I know of for advance ticket purchases from overseas which is www.ticketmaster.es

I am struggling to buy tickets for July 1, 2017 for the past few days from www.alhambra-tickets.es. The site hangs, gives error messages or just freezes. If none of this happens, it cannot validate my credit card information. It is able to connect to my credit card company and displays my bank icon but cannot process the transaction. I have entered and re-entered credit card information several times and tried using another credit card. I have called my credit card company twice and they stated they are not declining any requests and cannot even see any requests for authorization. I am in the United States.

I have tried calling 011-34-958-926-031 the phone number in Rick Steve's Spain guide and get a recording that the number is out of service. I have confirmed the number on TripAdvisor and else where and it seems to be correct.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there an alternate site to buy Alhambra tickets.

non savvy traveler, as you can see below your post, Helena bought hers on a 3rd party site. Hopefully reputable.
As to your issues, could it be your computer or the system you are using? Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, consider using Mozilla Firefox instead. It sounds like your system is timing out before you can get all the details filled in and sent to the Ticketmaster system.

I booked my tickets on the official Alhambra website and this is my preference mainly because I don't like to pay more than I have to.

Hope its okay to post my question here. For two days I have been trying to purchase tickets and cant get beyond selecting a date for my visit. Each time, i get a message along the lines of there are too many people connected to the site right now, try again later. Is this normal? I am trying to purchase for June 16th.

I hope you've secured you Alhambra tickets.

If not, you can book your tickets by calling the Alhambra at 902 888 001 ( if dialing from the US: 011- 34- 902 - 888- 001 )

I just tried booking tickets for June 16th and was able to complete the process up to the payment portion, so I hope you can do the same.

I booked mine through the official website which directs you to ticketmaster to do the payment and all. I don't think I had any issues.
Tell me if you stil have issues, I'll check my email and let you know.

I've tried booking on two different computers. When selecting a time either a bar graph comes up with the exact number of tickets available for each time slot or only a list of times come up to select.

Also, when entering in my payment information and pressing continue to process payment, A page doesn't come up to say that my purchase has been confirmed. So I dont even know if i purchased the tickets.

Navigating the ticket purchase is so frustrating! I'm selecting the date and the time. June 16th @ 6pm and then it tells me my time to enter the Nazarie Palace. Which they have is at 16:00hr??? Isnt that 4pm??

cjones, I was also able to go through the ticket purchase process for 2 tickets on June 16, with entry 18:00-18:30. I used PayPal for my purchase, since I had read about so many people having issues with credit cards. Hope you have made it work!

Did you ever figure out what the problem was when you couldn't book them before?
