TAP Airlines?

I am looking at flights from Newark,NJ to Barcelona and return from Seville in the Fall. Not many choices compared to JFK-but I really don't want to drive across NYC then park for three weeks in Queens. The best times and fares from Newark seem to be with TAP.

I have don a search here, but there is nothing newer than several years ago. Does anyone have recent flight experiences or knowledge of TAP these days? I tried looking at Trip Advisor and Kayak, but most of those folks posting seem to whine more than anything.

Thanks.

TAP is Portugal's national airline, and is fine. They have a bunch of new planes on order. I'd fly them with no hesitation.

What airline has universally good reviews online? Answer: none.

Thanks to all responders. Somehow, the 8 month old search didn't seem to show up on my first search. Maybe because I was looking through this Spain Forum, or maybe I just missed it after a long time staring at the monitor. Seems like TAP would be ok/fine with occasional miscues. Compared to either flying United or driving across NYC, those maybe seem like minor incoveniences.

Jeff, perhaps you know this already, but consider code shares for companies like United, and also (since you're likely to have two-segment flights anyway) flights with a single change in other countries. I'm specifically thinking of United and Lufthansa from Newark. We've been very satisfied with Lufthansa, and many of their planes are more comfortable than United's.

This is a matter of personal preference, but I no longer see a big benefit to landing at 7AM in my final city, when I can land at noon, and, more likely, maybe get the hotel room right away.
