Seville, day trips, restaurants and other things to do & see

We will be spending 9 nights in Seville in late February / March.
We plan a couple of day trips to Cadiz and Jerez. We have spent a day in Cadiz a few years ago on a cruise stop.
We will cover all the major attactions in Seville and do some of the walking tours that are available.
Any other suggestions of things to do and especially places to eat would be appreciated.

We were just in Seville. We did a lovely day trip to Cordoba and I highly recommend that. We stayed for 8 days with the plan to do day trips for three of the days to Cordoba, Jerez, and Cadiz. Have you looked at Devour Tours' videos on tapas crawls or restaurants in Seville? I can say that I had only one mediocre meal in Seville. Here are the winners for us: Manolo Leon Bar Dos de Mayo, Bar Dos de Mayo, Bar La Cantina in Mercado Feria, Palo Cortao and in Cordoba, Casa Rubio.

We took a paella cooking class and a one hour flamenco dance class. Fun on both accounts. Also take a tour of the bullring museum - very interesting.

Seville is our second home. We are heading there next week for approximately 5 to 6 weeks, and will also be there late February/ March.

We have many favorite restaurants in Seville. When we tire of Spanish food, Al Wadi is our go to. Another is Postiguillo, we also enjoy Bar Augustine and Company and Islamorada Tapas Bar. It's best to reserve unless you dine early. It doesn’t matter what month of the year you go, the restaurants are always busy. Lunch is a huge event and stretches for hours. Dining out is cheap; tapas are generally about 4EUR euros in Seville.

A horse and carriage ride is a great way to see Seville. The ride is about 30mins and takes you through Parque de Maria Luisa. The horse and carriages are lined up in front of the Cathedral and that's a spectacle in itself.

The bull ring was suggested and I agree it's interesting.

Walking to Triana on the Puente De Isabel II bridge is a stunning walk. Cycling from Puente De Isabel II along the Guadalquivir is a glorious bike ride. Its flat you can cycle for miles, and will come across the Puente Del Alamillo bridge, an impressive structure.

I hope you enjoy your time in Seville, your 9 days will fly by.

Other possible days trips could include Zafra, Mérida, El Rocio and Doñana National park, and just outside Sevilla are the Roman ruins and amphitheater at Itálica.

The rooftop tour of the Seville Cathedral was a highlight for us. Highly recommend. Also, Bar El Comercio for churros!
