Sagrada Familia Entry Tickets HELP!

Thanks - I have tried all the "tricks" I can think of and what that post said. When I get the furthest to the CC entry (not consistent) every one of my cards gets rejected. I even tried my HSA medical debit card. This is SO FRUSTRATING! Hence why I thought just buying them from some other authorized vendor would work.

Do you know someone with an American Express card who'd be willing to make the purchase for you? I don't have one of those, but I remember seeing posts by folks who were able to make difficult ticket purchases with their AmEx cards after they failed with Mastercard and/or Visa.

Very sorry that it is not working for you. It was frustrating for me as well. Why it suddenly worked is still a mystery.

Unfortunately, Barcelona Turisme doesn't seem to sell plain entry tickets to La Sagrada Familia.

I am gonna try the Amex approach (last cc I haven't used, I have to borrow one). I found something called https://www.barcelonacard.org/ and they sell tickets at not too much of a mark up but my only concern is are that valid. I know there are some scammers out there selling fake tickets. And unfortunately, the Sagrada Familia support staff isn't very helpful. They won't give me the name of ANY resellers. Even though they know I can't purchase on their site.

Additional Update- Just got this from my Barcelona hotel that I emailed: "Unfortunately, there is no other authorised ticket seller other than the Sagrada Familia website as in the past there were problems with people reselling their tickets once they had already entered."...GREAT!!! (: Hopefully I can get an Amex and get through.

I was finally successful last night buying tickets for April.
I tried several cards and called all of the banks (Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo) and had them online with me when trying through the official Sagrada Familia website.
The card that finally worked was Wells Fargo and the agent on the phone with me said he removed a security feature so this transaction could go through. Since he did various other validations with me (that it was my card, I was account owner, etc.) they allowed this and it finally went through!!!

Finally!!! We got tickets. My GF used a CC from our cruise operator (Norwegian) that had the two factor authorization and it worked. Thank you all for your input.

Yep Anne, you're right, these are more expensive... but I suggested the official Barcelona Tourism Office cause I thought it'd be better than nothing if Mike can't get thru the Sagrada Família website as there are no other authorised ticket sellers for it :))
