Has anyone recently attended a flamenco performance in Seville? We would like to find something less touristy and don't need to have a meal with the performance.
I've seen two, the most recent was this past March.
These are the two places I'd recommend; neither serve food but you can buy wine at the first one:
MUSEO DE FLAMENCO
CASA DE LA MEMORIA
Buy tickets online, in advance, for both venues, and arrive at least a half an hour early because seats are not assigned and you want to have the best views. Both places are small so there are no "bad" seats. Both places attract rather serious flamenco lovers; tourists, but serious ones.
Another vote for the second venue; I attended on the Spain My Way tour pre-Covid and had purchased tickets online ahead of time.
Another plus is the location, surrounded by the dress shops, and gorgeous windows. It was a truly intimate venue and the performers' passion for the dance and music was moving.
A number of years ago I attended la performance at the Flamenco museum. It was great. Beforehand, I toured the museum which was informative and observed a Flamenco class which was fun to watch.
My trip report from November lists performances I attended in Sevilla (and others.) None of the shows involved a meal.

I wrote something else up about them... I'll see if I can find that topic.
Here is that topic:
Thanks to everyone for the recommendations.
