We have an option to visit the Canary Islands or Mallorca in September for 4-5 days. Which island would you recommend?
I haven’t been to either, but forum member Sarah posted this great trip report for Mallorca. I bookmarked it and put Mallorca on my radar for a future trip.

Canary Islands are a group of 7 islands, off the Moroccon coast, in the Atlantic Ocean. Mallorca is the main island of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. They are all very touristic holiday destinarions for Europeans.
I've been to Mallorca for 2 weeks in November and to 3 of the Canarias in December, one week per island. They were full of tourists but not overwhelmingly so. September will be a lot busier, of course.
Are your 4-5 days an independent trip, or combined with a visit to other parts of Spain?
To the Canary Islands, you have to fly. To Mallorca, you could also go by ferry from Barcelona or Valencia.
4-5 days would be OK for Mallorca, but only for one of the Canarias, in my opinion.
Difficult choice, but depending on the logistics of your trip, I would either do Mallorca or Lanzarote in the Canarias.
