6 days in Anadlusia mid-March - where to go?

We will be arriving on a Friday night in mid-March either in Málaga or Madrid. We will have to be in Barcelona on Thursday the following week so we can go to a cruise from there on Friday. We have been to Madrid already a couple of times (and also Barcelona).

That leaves us with 6 days to visit Málaga, Granada, Seville, and Córdoba, which means we probably will have to visit only two or three of these places.

Any suggestions?

One possible itinerary is:
Sat: Málaga/Madrid -> Granada
Sun: Granada
Mon: Granada -> Seville
Tue: Seville
Wed: Seville -> Córdoba
Thu: Córdoba -> Barcelona

For those who have been there, what is the best use of our time for those days? Should we focus on only two cities and perhaps skip Córdoba or Granada? Is Málaga more interesting than Granada or Córdoba? Etc. Any suggestions are welcome.

PS.: We know weather may not be great, but that was the only time of the year we can go due to work schedules.

This is what I would plan. Buy your ticket to the Malaga Picasso Museum on-line ahead of time. Also, the Sevilla Alcázar (include the royal rooms) & Cordoba Mezquita.

Fly into Malaga:
Sat: Málaga
Sun: Cordoba
Mon: Sevilla
Tue: Sevilla
Wed: Sevilla
Thu: You need take the trains to be in Barcelona

Last time I was there (last Feb), I flew from Spokane, Washington so three flights to reach Malaga. I gutted it out and took the train up to Cordoba on my arrival day. But I finished with time again in Malaga (3rd time), Mentioning it in case you want to do similar- especially since you would just have two flights from SeaTac.

You can take a Quick Look at TripAdvisor for each cities “Things to Do” to decide your priorities. I was going to list the cities in my order of priority, but I decided to not do it since your time doesn’t permit it. This maximizes your very short time.

Awesome suggestions. I'll think about it.

Also, I'll read about the southern spain trip later today. Thanks for writing that!

Have you booked your tickets? I would try to fly into Sevilla, and visit Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada

I haven't booked the tickets. Unfortunately I'm tied to British Airways because I'll be using rewards, and the only flight to Seville requires a change of airport from LHR to LGW in a risky 3h25m connection.

With only 6 days, I would limit this to only two cities.
Sevilla for sure, and either Cordoba or Granada with my choice being Cordoba. And it's a short train ride from Sevilla to Cordoba; it's about 2.5 hours from Sevilla to Granada by car, but I don't know how long by bus or train.

The entire historic core of Cordoba is a delight. For me, Granada's highlight, of course, is the Alhambra but the rest of the city, to me, is not as charming as Cordoba.

And Cordoba has better restaurants, and food in general, than Granada.
Sevilla is among the best eating cities in Europe right now.

Agree with @Jean re: itinerary and @ekschrunchy re: Cordoba vs Granada. It will be a quick, but awesome, taste of Andalucia. Have a great trip!

I agree with ekscrunchy. With such a short time it's better to enjoy Sevilla and Cordoba than spending a lot of extra time travelling instead of enjoying to fit in extra destinations
