Hello Everyone!
We will be traveling to Southern Spain in late September and I would love any suggestions or ideas for hotels and restaurants in Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Malaga. Not really looking for an overly modern hotel. We are doing 4 nights in Seville and 2 nights in the others. Looking for something under $300 a night, but would go over that for something really special.
It's just for two people. In each city we want to stay near the city center, walkable to sights, especially in Seville.
Under 15 min walk. Just for two people. Or if anyone has found some place special off the beaten path that you suggest we check out, include that too.
Thank you so much!!
Hi there! Solo traveler here. Last year, I went on RS Tour of Andalusia. I arrived a day early in Cordoba and stayed at the Puerta de la Ribera Suites. Easy walking distance to the Mezquita and Central Cordoba (not as close as the Hotel Mezquita where the tour stayed but a great hotel). After the tour, I visited Malaga on my own and stayed at the Pries Homes La Casa Azul. It is not on the beach but a block away. Lovely hotel. Looking back on my trip, I should have spent a couple more nights in Seville. Enjoy Southern Spain. It is beautiful.
Hi Tracy, other than Granada, I was at all of these cities last month. Each of my hotels were wonderful - some repeats. I’m very picky about location since I travel solo, so I select ones in great locations in the historical center.

Cordoba: H10 Palacio Colomera at Plaza de las Tendillas - gorgeous hotel, pool, rooftop evening lounge. This was a repeat stay.
Sevilla: Casa del Poeta Hotel - excellent location to the action but still quiet at night to sleep. They have a guest classical guitarist in the evening in their courtyard for a beautiful ambiance to enjoy a drink. I tried this hotel for a change, and it’s my new favorite for Sevilla.
Malaga: Soho Boutique Equitativa Hotel - more of a modern hotel feel, but the location is perfect at the base of Calle Lario street. I also stayed at their sister hotel two blocks away - Soho Boutique Colon Hotel. Both were repeat stays.
Thank you so much for the recommendations. They all were so good. Hotel Casa de Poeta is sold out for my dates :(.
Looked so beautiful. Would have loved to have tried out that hotel.
What were your favorite parts of Seville?
I appreciate all the feedback!
In recent years I've stayed at both the MERCER and the PALACIO DON RAMON in Sevilla; both are very small and both are exceptional, but Ii don't know the current pricing.
Here are some ideas for restaurants in Sevilla, and also for a sherry tour that I went along on:

Here are some of my comments about eating in Cordoba, from 2024:

Cordoba-- The Taberna Puerta Sevilla.
Sevilla-- the place is loaded with Tapas bars-- I don't think we saw any duds. These are popular gathering spots--the Bodega Santa Cruz and La Bartola.
One piece of advice: If the name of a bar includes the word "tapas" it is a tourist place and one you would probably want to avoid,
This is true throughout Spain.
The bigger concentration of tourist eating places would be in the Santa Cruz barrio and along the river in Triana, in Sevilla and near the Mezquita, in Cordoba.
Thank you, everyone for all of the great ideas! I appreciate it!
