Hi Gang. I am wanting some ideas of places in Portree to make dinner reservations. Looking in Rick's book, several of the places are lunch only, several others don't take reservations. We are going to be there August 27 for three nights. we do have one night booked at the Antlers inside of the Portree Hotel. Neither one of us are fish eaters. Also looking for places that are not high end, but take reservations.

I highly recommend the Edinbane Inn, which is NOT in Portree, but is about 20 minutes outside of it. It's an excellent restaurant and had plenty of non-seafood items and meat on the menu. In fact, my dinner companions and I were commenting that it was nice to get a little break from fish. It is not high-end, but the food is good and reasonably priced. They sometimes have music there.
