Can I get around Edinburgh without a car. How about trains for touring outside of Edinburgh?
Thanks.
No need for a car in and around Edinburgh. Very good public transport and much is walkable. There are several good day trip companies for closer locations as well.
Where outside Edinburgh did you want to tour? I used Timberbush and Heart of Scotland tours in April this year and was pleased with the companies. Many like and recommend Rabbies - no personal experience.
You definitely don't want a car for Edinburgh. Walking and local trams & buses will get you just about everywhere.
If you would like to travel on your own, trains and buses will get you out of the cities. Here are some recent posts that may help you.
Thank you for the information. I have just started looking at traveling to Edinburgh so not sure what I want to see or do at this time.
