Restaurants in Skye?

Hi, am not seeing any restaurant recommendations in Skye recently.....a lot of old posts.... We are planning two nights in Portree, in October, not the peak of the season. Any recommendations, or tips for getting a meal in the evening? Thanks for your help! Karen

We returned from Scotland last night so my recommendations for Skye are recent. We loved our meal at the Edinbane Inn in Edinbane. It's about a 20-minute drive from Portree and well worth it.

We also really liked our dinners at Taste of India in Portree and Fraser at Bracken Hide, also in Portree.

We were a bit disappointed in our dinners at Rosedale Hotel. The appetizers are delicious and the bartender was very friendly. However, we were all disappointed in our mains. There were 4 of us.

We also really enjoyed our lunch at the Old Inn in central Skye. It's near the Talisker Distillery.
