Skye restaurant suggestions

We will be staying in Portree for three nights in April; I know we need to have dinner reservations. We have reservations at Scorrybreac but wanted to see if there are other recommendations? From what I've read, I might like to check out the Oyster Shed, as well. We'd be most interested in great seafood but also pasta, steak, local dishes, etc. It doesn't have to be fancy but we like good food. Any suggestions?

In Portree itself there are quite a few places, but most are pretty basic. You might check out Caberfeidh, which serves good pizza. There is also Gusto at the former Aros centre just south of the village. In the village itself another option is the Antler Bar at the Portree Hotel.

If you have a car then the Edinbane Inn is a good pub which does decent food and sometimes has live music sessions. In the same settlement there is the excellent Edinbane Lodge which is a gastronomic delight with an excellent tasting menu of entirely local produce. A little further out is the fantastic Lochbay seafood restaurant which has a Michelin star.

The Oyster Shed is a good lunch option, with picnic benches outside the 'shed' farm shop. The oysters are from the loch below the shed. It's near Carbost where you will also find the Old Inn - a cosy pub with good food and sometimes live music.

Steak is not really a big menu item on Skye. But you will find pizza, pasta, fish and chips, and in the more upmarket places local shellfish and venison.

Hope that helps

Just saw this post. I just posted with a question about needing reservations for lunch. I also have the Oyster Shed on my list as a lunch possibility.
