Lisbon thoughts

Heading to Lisbon!
We have four days, did some homework, read the RS book.
But below is what we are thinking - an RS walk each of three days, and visit ti Sintra the 4th day.
RS states each walk about an hour, but we never rush and keep a relaxed pace.
Any advice is really appreciated.

Thursday April 16th Lisbon (N)
• P72 – RS #3 - Bairro Alto and Chiado walk & map.
• After 3rd detour to bra bar (Arroz Doce). After 4th detour to Pops Cereal (RS see map p73).
• Cork & Co. close by during walk, see p128.
• After head to Pink Street -p132 (RS favs are Sol e Pesca Bar, Pensão Amor (House of Love).

• And O'Gilíns Irish Pub around the corner R. dos Remolares 8, 1200-371.

I don't see Belem on your itinerary. We loved the Jeronimos Monastery, the Discoveries Monument, and the Coach Museum, all in Belem. You can take an elevator to the top of the Discoveries Monument for awesome views. There is also Belem Tower, which we admired from a distance.

Do you like museums? We loved the Gulbenkian Museum! We didn't have time for the Tile Museum, which I understand is wonderful.

Any particular reason to visit the Bra Bar? I never went in but I did walk past it. It's simply a small bar with loads of bras hanging off the balcony outside and presumably inside. I thought it was a bit naff and seedy. My advice is to spend your valuable time seeing something decent.

In Lisbon, I’d try to fit two or three of these into the itinerary: the monastery, the castle, the cathedral, the maritime museum, and St. Vincent Church.

In Sintra, the National Palace is fine, but if you like panoramic views, maybe go to the Moors Castle instead.
