We started doing food tours on a trip to Rome several years ago and it’s become a tradition. Would love to know your recommendations for food tours in Lisbon and Porto. We love tours that include a good walking tour of the city- but not so much walking that you’re not trying food. Also love tours that are informative about culture and customs related to food ways. Of course stops at places with excellent food - especially under the radar spots, iconic foods and food prepared by up and coming chefs and cooks is of interest . We love street food and market tours as well.

Porto: take a look at this:

It is from 2017, but I can assure they are still in the business, and better than ever!
Highly recommend Culinary Backstreets https://culinarybackstreets.com/. I have now done three with them - LIS, OPO & ATH - always a max 7 person group + 1 guide. Really fantastic off the beaten path food stops. Super knowledgeable local guides.
I also recommend the Culinary Backstreets tour in Lisbon. It was outstanding. I took the ”Lisbon Awakening” tour.
We just returned from Portugal and I highly recommend the Taste of Porto food tour! Our guide was fabulous--we learned not just about the food, but also about the history, culture and traditions of the area! Have a great time!
