Water bottle to use with Civita day pack?

I bought a Civita day pack and after a couple of small modifications, I love it!

At home, I carry a water bottle pretty much everywhere I go. The one I have now is an h2go 20.9 oz aluminum bottle that was SWAG my wife got from her company (it has the company logo on it). BUT, it's nearly 12 inches tall and a bit less than 3 inches diameter. If I put it in the water bottle pocket on the Civita, it falls right out.

In the picture on the website here, it looks like it's shown with the RS aluminum 500ml bottle, but that is out of stock.

If you have a Civita, what water bottle do you use with it?

I re-use the Rosbacher or Aqua d'Or water bottles that they give out on Lufthansa flights because they are small and handy -- .3L and.5l respectively. I find that I don't need a big bottle when I'm in a city because I just need enough to bridge me between drinking fountains or kitchen sinks.

If you want to splurge you can get one of the Evian bottles with the fancy spout lid and then refill that.

I have and use Civitas for many years. I think what you have to consider is that the Civita is unstructured and pretty limp (like a pillowcase) unless it is packed full. So any bottle will fall out if you dont have a lot of stuff in the bag. I usually get by with whatever plastic water bottle I most recently bought, until it gets lost and replaced. If you want a metal or hard plastic bottle, I'd clip it to your belt rather than rely on the shallow net pocket on the bag.

If I carry a beverage with my Civita pack, I usually just throw it into the main compartment. Anything with a screw-down lid is safe.
