Water bottle to fit my Roka Canfield bag?

I know that there are many Roka fans on here and thought I might get an answer to my question. I have just bought a small Roka Canfield bag and love it but was disappointed to find that my preferred water bottle ( a Chilly's 500ml) doesn't fit the side pockets. Has anyone found a bottle which fits please, preferably one which has a straw or any other means of direct access to the water rather than taking the lid off. I'm in the UK but I'm hoping that there are some brands are sold over here too. Thanks.

I have the small Roka Canfield bag and my Yeti 10oz (300ml) tumbler fits in it. I just measured the width of the Yeti, and it's 9 inches in diameter at its widest point.

You might want to just hit the stores for a water bottle and bring a tape measure. If it's 9 inches or smaller, it will fit in there.

Thanks, Mardee, do you find that it leaks at all as I've googled it and there are quite a few reports that it does?

The Yeti tumbler? No, I've never had that problem, and I've had it for several years.

I think Mardee means circumference rather than diameter. A 9 inch diameter water bottle would be huge.

I don’t have the Roka bag, but I have this travel mug and love it. It doesn’t leak and keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold all day. I have two of them (one for coffee and one for water).

I just measured mine and it has an 8 inch circumference. The diameter is 2.5” and the height is 9.25”. I don’t know if it would fit in your bag but it is pretty slim.

How timely since yesterday was pi day!! The circumference equals the diameter times PI.

For more Pi humor, see yesterday's Pi day thread.

Ha-ha, Laura, yes I did! I had just finished writing a response on the Pi thread about using Pi to check the waist circumference when sewing a full circle skirt. Of course you would have thought that the word "circumference" would have stuck in my head instead of "diameter". I don't know what I was thinking. Although I was low on coffee, so that's probably it. 😂

And claremc12, I know they have Yeti products in England because I saw them on my last trip there. This might help you find something. https://uk.yeti.com/pages/store-finder

I had dredged back to my school maths lessons and worked it out :) A garden centre local to my sister-in-law seems to stock the Yeti so I'll have to pay her a visit.

Laura, thanks, I looked for this one on Amazon UK and it seems it's only available when imported from the States which makes it quite pricy.

Strange since it is actually a Japanese company. You might just google to see if there is a store that sells Zojirushi in the UK. They have some similar styles.

I love my Owala for everyday and travel. You can sip as a straw but also chug (both with lid propped open but attached). Mine is standard 24oz size which may be a bit tall for your bag. Keeps water cold all day.

But they have a Kid Freesip version with 16oz that is shorter. I think 2.75” base dimension.

I recently order an even larger one that has a narrow base but wider at top for my kid to take to sport practices.
