I don't want to get into a whole thing about keeping prescription pills in their original bottles (which are sometimes far larger than is strictly necessary, amirite?), so I'll just say that I take a bunch of different OTC meds and "vitamins." Day of the week sorters don't work for me because I take these pills at least three times a day, and for a two-week trip, the sorter is going to be bigger than the pill bottles. I found the following item, which worked great for me on my most recent trip. It's four food-safe containers, two 15cc, one 25cc and one 40cc, each with a screw top. They can lock together and have a little handle. I was able to put my night time pills on the nightstand and my PRN pills in my day bag, but they were all together in transit. There are two more sizes, though REI only sells Medium and Small. Mine is the small, I think. They also sell some individual containers so you could add more to your stack.

Thanks, G3rryCee. That looks like an interesting way to hold pills, vitamins, etc. I like that it is BPA free and watertight. I currently use a combo of small sealable plastic bags and a pill organizer (from Amazon, Meacolia brand 3 pack 8 compartment travel pill organizer) but am intrigued with the Humangear containers.
