Vacuum Packing Cubes?

I am a fan of my double-zipper packing cubes.

Curious if anyone is using and can recommend a vacuum packing cubes set?

Keep in mind that you probably won’t have access to a vacuum at your location and most of these require that you suck the air out with a hose from a vacuum.

I have a friend who packed using them thinking that was a great idea, but she could get so much stuff in her luggage that it was overweight.

We have used them, but only for coming home. We have the kind that you either roll the air out or sit on them, and that works really well. I am not a fan of them though because they can allow more room in your bag, so more weight. We usually use them for coming home from Iceland. We do carryon only, but when we go there in the winter we taken our heavier jackets and it is nice to stowe them in these bags, then add to the suitcase.

I have no idea what brand ours are. I bought them on Amazon several years ago.

I have a set of 2 compression, not vacuum, packing cubes. I use 1 for undies and sleep clothes that don’t matter being wrinkly. I like the mix of 2 regular packing cubes and one compression cube. I find it easy to leave my clothes in packing cubes for 1 - 3 night stays, just unzip the top. That doesn’t work as well for the compression cube.

Oh yeah, forgot to add….I got mine from Amazon. The brand is TRIPPED, it’s an Eagle Creek clone and about 1/2 the price.

Thanks for all of your comments. I am most intrested in cubes that work with a compact vacuum sold with the set. I recenlty saw an add for a backpack that includes a couple of vacuum compartments and started to wonder if there are new productions on the market.

The biggest problem you're going to face is weight. Remember, if you plan to do carry on in Europe, most airlines have weight limits. While you can take more with these vaccuum products, the more you take, the more it weighs.

And your stuff gets wrinkled.

I use compressible packing cubes. I recently discoverd Thule compression cubes and they are my new favorites.
