Amazon Prime Day and Travelpro's own site have sales on Travelpro bags. It looks like Travelpro is matching most Amazon prices except not for the Travelpro Maxlite 5 Compact which is the one that seems to best fit many international airlines. Although not listed as a prime day special, Amazon is offering a $16 off coupon on the Maxlite 5 Compact.
If you need ( want) new luggage, be sure to check out Travelpro. Have been very happy with ours.
Thank you for this! I got mine couple years ago on TravelPro site (Maxlite 5 spinner carry-on) on sale, navy blue which I love. And not available on Amazon. I need a new one for a family member.
Good thing about Amazon Prime is that it's driving several other stores to run specials this week as well.
Nice sales! I'd be very tempted but I still have my Maxlite 5 carry-on that I bought in 2022, and it's still going strong (I think my doodles on it add to its strength). 😉
I just want to make sure I'm reading this correctly - this Travelpro Maxlite 5 with the $16 off coupon is loved by many ? I've needed a lighter weight bag so highly considering this one.
Thanks,
~Mitzi
I have the 19 inch spinner, which I expand when flying US airlines. It has been so good that my husband replaced his old carryon with one(but not the pinkish one that I have) . Air France didn't give mine a second look.
To clarify, the one I ordered is the "compact" 20 inch model (or 19.5") for $144 after coupon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNQVZGZC?ref=pe1257750001044873430tfedasin_title&th=1
Colors other than black are more expensive. The more common 22 inch model is 23" with handle and wheels and thus a bit over most international carrier stated dimensions but is only $128 for prime day on amazon or current sale on Travelpro site.
I am very disappointed and frustrated to report that the bag I ordered as described above (Travelpro Maxlite Compact) is NOT what I received from Amazon! It is a full inch taller by my meaurement and by what the attached card states. The card with the bag says 23" overall (21" case) whereas the dimensions given on Amazon for external size with handles and wheels says 22" (19.5 case) as does the Travelpro site. I probably should have paid attention to the warning on amazon that the item was frequently returned "due to unexpected size." I foolishly assumed that meant it was frequently returned because it is smaller than the typical US domestic carry-on. After I return this, I will probably order a full price one direct from Travelpro.
You probably received the standard size one. Sorry.
I looked at ordering from Travelpro but I would have to pay shipping which was free on Amazon. But I went for the regular carry-on for my teen mostly for domestic US travel.
Ugh. I am a sucker for the TravelPro Max Light. Now I have to go look and (probably) order a size I don’t have. 🤣

That's exactly what I did. Have and love my 21", bought a 25" in the sale. It might be too big...but she's pretty and has that new luggage smell.
