Tote packs, anyone?

I'm thinking about a new personal item, and this week I've been checking out tote packs.
I remember reading somewhere that they try to do both jobs and end up doing neither very well.

I'm looking for one you can carry over your shoulder, by hand, or as a backpack. And the backpack straps should be comfortable. It needs an exterior water bottle and a trolley strap. So far the only one I've found that ticks all the boxes is the Osprey Daylite Tote Pack. I was hoping for something a little better looking. Shallow of me, I know!!

Any suggestions?

Sandra, I am actually looking for something similar, and I am also shallow!

Hopefully, women someone will point us in the right direction.

They may not be to your taste, but they’re similar to what lots of people of all ages are wearing in the UK at the moment, so they’d be good for your street cred! Have a look at the RokaLondon website for reassurance.

I recently got a wonderful new backpack for my upcoming trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. It has very comfortable straps and a waist belt (not just a strap) that really transfers the load to your hips, so now my back and shoulders don’t get tired and sore like they did with my Eddie Bauer Packable backpack. It is incredibly lightweight and folds up nicely. The waist belt tucks in if you don’t want to use it. The waist and chest straps can be used as a trolly strap, but it does not have tote handles. It comes in some cute patterns as well as solid colors.

Today I was in my local TJMaxx store and noticed they had a large selection of these tote packs! Many different brands, colors and styles; and of course a great price.

Ha ha, Amanda, Sandra L is very familiar with Roma bags. She was in London earlier and got at least one. I love this bags and have several, plus I bought several as gifts.

I have this Sherpani tote in bright yellow, though it appears it is no longer made. It lacks some of your requested features but I like it. A newer model appears to have a shoulder strap and trolly sleeve which mine does not have and it comes in more than basic black: https://a.co/d/ddlfhQF

Thanks for responding!

Mardee--I knew you would pop up in this thread! I was considering getting a medium Roka but I wish it had longer handles and a trolley strap/sleeve.

I'll check out the links!
