The ultimate travel material: silk jersey

My venn diagram of clothing requirements (comfort, natural fibers, quick dry) converges on one glorious material: silk jersey.
Stretchy, light as a feather, and oh-so-luxurious -- it's only drawback is cost.
I have slowly been acquiring items from Eileen Fisher (usually second hand) and they are worth every penny.

Can anyone recommend other trusted companies that sell this most perfect of fabrics?

Hi Rebekah. I’m not much help in giving you an alternative to Eileen Fisher silk jersey but just wanted to say that I am also a big Eileen Fisher fan. Her clothes are expensive but last for many years with proper care and feel so good on. I love her silk jersey, ultra light merino wool and crepe fabrics in particular but I also really like her linen. I am a frugal person but will splurge occasionally on the perfect item. I wear Eileen Fisher whenever I fly to Europe. So comfy and easy care but also polished.

If you don't already know and shop some of the online retailers for gently used, like RealReal or ThredUp. They have lots of EF. And you can search by fabric, many other details.

I too love silk jersey, but have never found a good alternative to Eileen Fisher. Would love to find some other possibilities!

Laurie Ann, if you ever get out to Schaumburg, there is an Eileen Fisher Company Store, which is like an outlet store. You can even use your birthday discount there. I sometimes find great deals there.
